Four major airlines.
One long-serving CEO.
One brand new CEO.
One with no CEO.
1 Timothy 2:1 says,
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (NIV)
The leaders of Australia’s airlines have carried great responsibility through the most difficult time the industry has ever faced. I know that if I were in their position, I would be grateful for the support of a praying community, so this week, can I urge you to take regular time to pray for the leaders at the Aussie airlines. I acknowledge that there are many others involved in leadership, however, here as a starting point, are the CEOs:
Alan Joyce, who has been the CEO of the Qantas Group since November 2008.
Within that group, Jetstar’s CEO is Gareth Evans.
Jayne Hrdlicka, the CEO of Virgin Australia, joined the company in just November 2020.
According to Rex’s website there is no CEO as such in their structure, however Lim Kim Hai is the Executive Chairman.
